Avril Lavigne's home: lavish mansion in Los Angeles

Punk-pop singer Avril Lavigne, who rose to fame in her teen back in the 1990s, has listed this mansion for sale for $9.5 million.

Master Bedroom

Avril Lavigne's master bedroom with four poster bed and netting. Dark furnishing resembles an English country home. Arched windows frame gorgeous view. Is that a simmering sea beyond?

Nice room, but perhaps wasn't enough to save Avril Lavigne's marriage. She divorced her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibleya, not long after their wedding in 2006.

Punk-Rock Residence

The house was bought by Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley. It spreads over 12,000 foot in Bel Air and has an outdoor pool.

Great Room

Surely the living room is a bit too old for the young couple?

Great Room

Gothic touches could be seen in the living-dining room's black furniture and black chandelier above the dining table.

Dining Room
Avril Lavigne's dining area in the kitchen looks a bit more rustic. Blue doors open into the garden with a water fountain.

Master Bathroom

The bathroom has a balcony and good view, but the fitting is a little dated in our opinion.

As Seen on TV

Let's take a break from the dark furnishing and step outside the mansion.

Backyard

Pool

Avril Lavigne's pool, complete with two cabanas with white awnings. The area is near perfect, if not for the iffy green sculpture on your left.

Outdoor Kitchen

Everyone must be green with envy.

Entrance

Mediterranean style could be seen in the way the staircase and barnisters are spread out.

 Bedroom
One of the 10 bedrooms in Avril Lavigne's home, perhaps reserviced for little girls or aunties from the countryside.

Bedroom

This is more like it. Another bedroom in Avril Lavigne's villa, which is reminiscent of a trip to Morocco or Spain.

Outdoor Living Room

I'd get rid of the TV. With such a view, surely you'd rather read a book?

Just like Britney Spears' mansion in Beverly Hills, this Avril Lavigne villa has great outdoor area but the interior design is a little too heavy. That's why it can't make it to our Editor's Picks list. Perhaps in the next home, Avril!
