Princess Marie Chantal of Greece's home: serene royal living in London

It's not every day you come across a magazine feature on a royal home, so I jumped at the chance to include this breath-taking London home of Princess Marie Chantal and Crown Prince Palov of Greece.

The royal couple's enviable art collection is displayed throughout the London townhouse. With the help of famous interior designer Francois Catroux, it looks serene and well-positioned rather than pompous. Love the velvety chesterfield sofa.

House & Garden Magazine November 2006 Special Isuse:The Well-Lived Life Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

The home originally appeared on House & Garden. In this picture, Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece is seen with two of five her children with Princess Pavlos of Denmark.

The interior looks utterly tranquil, with antiques such as gilded mirror and silver chair mingling happily with terracotta pots full of fresh  hydrangeas. Bliss!

With white interior, you may think that this princess's home isn't child-friendly. But judging by the look on the children's faces, we can say everyone's having a good time.

My ultimate dream of a dining room, complete with fireplace and plenty of fresh flowers, could be seen in Princess Marie Chantal's home. She is the daughter of Robert W Miller and a member of the Greek royal family. She and Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, Prince of Denmark married in 1995.

The family relocated to London from America, to be close to Princess Marie Chantal's parents: the exiled King Constantine and Queen Ann-Marie.

Calm and serene are the words to describe the princess's home, with soft carpet inviting you to sink your feet in, creamy sofa and an antique fireplace.

An unexpected splash of colours seen on the painting.

Princess Marie Chantal of Greece was born in London, raised in Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Paris, and pursued her undergraduate studies in New York City, so it's no wonder she acquired an eye for design.

(The man in this picture with her is interior designer Francois Cachox).

For a taste of her royal living, check out the following feature from House & Garden.

(This picture isn't their London home, but I thought I'd include it as it looks so tranquil and includes everyone in Princess Marie-Chantal and Prince Pavlos's family). Perhaps we'll be able to catch a magazine spread of this house soon and share with you.
