Top celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse's humble beginning started as a restaurant he owned,Emeril’s, in New Orleans. Since then, he has become something of a culinary tycoon, with many bestselling cookbooks and TV shows under his belt, and “Emeril Empire” of media, products and restaurants with a cool $150 million revenue per year.

He bought this Georgian-inspired town house in 2009 for $11.5 million, and recently put it on the market for $15 million.

The interior is classic in style but looks light and airy thanks to whitewashed walls.

Perhaps you need to wear sunglasses on entering the hallway.

The kitchen has a bit of identity crisis, with the bookcase looking a bit too formal and library-like
